Frequently Asked Questions

What is this system used for?

This online assessment system is used to enter/edit all assessment plans for Academic Programs (undergraduate, graduate, certificate), Administrative Units, and Centers and Institutes to meet SACS and BOG requirements. There should be a designated person/s in the department responsible for entering/editing these reports during the current assessment cycle. Please refer to our website for resources and important dates at: www.usf.edu/ods/iep/institutional-effectiveness/assessment/assessment-resources.aspx

Why are we doing assessment?

While the primary purpose of assessment is to improve student learning, it is also required by both the State of Florida and our accrediting body, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) for reaffirmation.

How do I request system access?

Requests can be submitted here: Request for Access. You may have more than one user per plan. We need your NET ID and which plans you need access to (i.e. BA Communication).

Are there resources for help with the assessment plan?

The mission of our office is to promulgate good assessment and data analysis practices across all programs at the university. Please contact us with any questions or concerns you may have with this process. There are also many resources that exist online.
