Average High School GPA

USF continues to be a preferred destination for academically talented students. The fall 2022 class is the strongest academically in USF history.

Average High School SAT Scores

High-achieving high school graduates from across the United States and worldwide increasingly select USF as their preferred destination as the average SAT scores of admitted students continue to rise. The fall 2022 class also includes 79 new National Merit Scholars, up from a previous record of 62 in 2021.

FTIC Retention Rate (Full-time)

USF’s student success movement was built on the principle that every student admitted can and will succeed. USF prioritizes student persistence by identifying and addressing potential challenges impeding a student’s success - solutions can include addressing an individual student’s issues or broader policies and procedures.

6-Year FTIC Graduation Rate (Full- and Part-time)

More than a decade ago, USF identified student success as its number one strategic goal. USF has been recognized as a national leader in student success, raising the six-year graduation rate and eliminating the achievement gap by race, ethnicity and income.

3-Year FCS AA Transfer Graduation Rate

Transferring can be complex; USF aims to provide seamless academic pathways for students to complete their degree on time when transferring with their associate degree from a Florida College System institution.

Percent of Bachelor's Graduates in Continuing Education or Employed ($40,000+), One-year Out

USF leads the way with innovative strategies and practices designed to improve student learning outcomes, accelerate completion rates, minimize debt, and prepare students for lifelong success in their chosen careers and as citizens. Through rigorous and relevant activities, USF students graduate with the skills, experiences, and resilience required to succeed in an increasingly competitive and diverse global market.

Percent of Undergraduates Engaged in Research

USF ensures that students can engage in internships, scientific field, laboratory work, research experiences, service learning, education abroad, and other experiential learning opportunities. In FY2023, the Florida High Tech Corridor Matching Grant Research Program awarded nearly $2 million to support research across five USF colleges helping to support 101 student research engagements with industry.
