I. DATA NETWORK: INSTALLATION Install hardware, configure devices, and/or update parameters to address customer data and connectivity needs.

  • Install hardware, configure devices, and/or update parameters to address customer data and connectivity needs.
  • SERVICE REQUEST FORM REQUIRED: This service requires the submission of a Request for Services form. Completed form may be faxed to 974-5140 or mailed to SVC 4010.
  • SERVICE COORDINATOR: IT Systems Support Helpdesk, helpdesk@admin.usf.edu  is the initial contact point for this service.
  • SERVICE LEVEL: Installation is generally completed within two weeks of receipt of any required hardware items. Jobs requiring the installation of cable and/or extensive hardware are scheduled on a per job basis.
II. DATA NETWORK: CONNECTIVITY Access to the USF Wide Area Network (WAN).

  • SERVICE CHARGE: Charges depend upon the customer funding source and may include various hardware components and labor.
  • SERVICE COORDINATOR: IT Systems Support Helpdesk (helpdesk@admin.usf.edu ) is the initial contact point for this service.
  • SERVICE LEVEL: Initial response to connectivity problems provided within one hour. Many connectivity problems addressed completely within one hour

III. WORKSTATION: INSTALLATION, HARDWARE Install computing hardware in user areas to establish connectivity and access.
  • SERVICE CHARGE: Labor billed at a rate of $50/hour (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes).
  • SERVICE REQUEST FORM REQUIRED: This service requires the submission of a Request for Services form. Completed form may be faxed to 974-5140 or mailed to SVC 4010.
  • SERVICE COORDINATOR: IT Systems Support Helpdesk (helpdesk@admin.usf.edu ) is the initial contact point for this service.
  • SERVICE LEVEL: Initial contact with customer within two days of receipt of request. Completion determined by work requirements; generally completed within one week.
