USF Information Technologies
Statement on Windows VISTA, Internet Explorer 7.0, Office 2007
NOTE: Microsoft Office 2007 is currently being rolled out to administrative departments
Updated: November, 2007
General Recommendation
VISTA:
USF Information Technologies does NOT recommend upgrading to the new Windows VISTA operating system at this time. Our recommendation is based upon continued product review and its interoperability with USF business systems. Presently the new operating system is NOT certified to operate with our OASIS INB, GEMS and FAST /PeopleSoft applications. Windows VISTA offers exciting and productive new features and we look forward to the university being able to take advantage of them in the near future.
Internet Explorer 7 (IE7):
Internet Explorer 7 (IE7) has been certified to work with USF business systems (e.g. OASIS INB, FAST, GEMS). IE7 is now a supported browser version and you may upgrade to it.
